ABOUT KITA

Kita wrote and illustrated her first work, Cindersmella, at the age of six. It was swiftly and cruelly rejected by publishers. The sequels, Repunsmell and Mouldilocks, were equally badly received.

Disheartened, Kita became an animator - but the feeling she should write for children never went away. Many years later, she had another go.

Her award-winning Grandma Dangerous and the Dog of Destiny was published in 2018, closely followed by Grandma Dangerous and the Egg of Glory and Grandma Dangerous and the Toe of Treachery.

Kita`s latest book, The House of Secret Treasure, is in all good bookshops from June 3rd 2021!

Kita enjoys cake and lives in the Vale of White Horse with four daughters, three chickens and a hamster.
